"Let the Little Children Come..."
West End's children and youth ministries are designed to introduce children to Christ, and help them grow in their faith. We want our children to see and experience the Gospel, and to become life-long followers of Jesus.
On Sundays, we offer Bible instruction for all children, from age 2 through high school. On Wednesday night, K4 - 6th graders take part in Pioneer Clubs. Pioneer Clubs help kids have fun, learn new skills, build relationships, study the Bible, and ultimately, learn to live for Christ in every aspect of life. Our junior high and high school students meet on Wednesday nights for discipleship, fellowship, and fun in youth group. Finally, our nursery for ages 3 and under is open during Sunday School, both Sunday services, and on Wednesday nights.

A Place to Grow Stronger in Your Faith
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work" (2Timothy 3:16-17).
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth" (2Timothy 2:15).
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES (9:45 AM)
- Tim Hylton will facilitate a study of The Christian Life, a book by Sinclair Ferguson. The book brings us back to the Biblical basics about the source, nature and expression of a Christian’s life. We will expound on key biblical themes such as grace, faith, repentance, new birth, and assurance. The class will meet in the parlor.
- Pastor Reed and George Lenning will lead us through a study of the book of Daniel. This is a fascinating book that deals with Daniel’s personal experiences while in captivity in Babylon as well as his prophetic visions. These stories are more than moral lessons-lessons that some have suggested should encourage us to be like Daniel. Daniel’s prophetic visions are likewise more than a prophetic timeline, that has been explained in a myriad of farfetched manners. In our study, we will see how both the stories and the visions point us to Jesus, the one greater than Daniel-the one who lived a life of exile and service so that we might be reconciled to God and who lives today as the exalted Son of man, awaiting the day when He will make all things right. The class will meet in the choir room.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT DISCIPLESHIP (6:45 PM)
This class is intended to strengthen our knowledge about the office of the deacon, and is a precursor to officer training in the fall. The class will focus on Alexander Strauch's book, The New Testament Deacon, and will also reference the Book of Church Order, the Westminster Standards, and the Westminster Larger Catechism.
The class is a verse-by-verse study of Paul's letter to the Galatians. We'll study how we are justified by faith, and learn to embrace our freedom in Christ.
HOME FELLOWSHIP GROUPS
1ST AND 3RD SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH (6:00 PM)
One of the great ways to grow in our understanding of God's unmerited favor is to attend a home fellowship group. A home fellowship is an intentional gathering of 6 to 12 people who come together on a regular basis for prayer, Bible or theological study, discussion, and connection with one another.
The emphasis of our small group ministry at West End is fellowship. God's Word calls us to live out our faith in Community (Genesis 2:18). Moreover, we are called to love one another (Hebrews 10:24-25) amd to bear one another's burdens (Galations 6:2).
At West End our desire is to develop a body of believers who live out the great commandment in their daily lives. Our home fellowship groups are designed to help all of us do relationships better. As other see our love for one another and for Jesus, we trust that God will use our witness to bring them into His kingdom of grace.
If you're interested in attending a small group, call the church office (458-6765), and we'll help you find a group that meets near your home!
